Inline Lever/Lever

Euro Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with internal and external doors usually needing different levels of security.
The choice of cylinder is crucial. It’s dependent on the use that your doors and replace window handles will receive. For instance, exterior doors should be fitted with a higher security cylinder, while internal doors can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Some cylinders have extra features that can increase security, for instance, anti-drill or anti bump properties.
A euro cylinder must be properly measured to ensure that it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to each end of the cylinder including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place however, when this isn’t feasible, you can take it off and remove it to measure. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon may be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is important that it’s not too long.
The design of many modern cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in the opposite direction. This will help to deflect the attack and ensure your doors are secure.
There are also cylinders that are made to withstand snapping. This is a more frequent kind of attack on cylinders, which is where the break line of the lock is targeted by a tool that is specially designed to break off the front of the cylinder and allow the door to be opened. This is a much faster and easier way to gain access than using the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which can hinder insurance claims.
Spring Cassette
This spring cassette is found in the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to help return your multipoint lock handles back to their original position after using. The handles were previously equipped with no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was disconnected. This component is the best way to address this issue. It also helps prevent your door from getting stuck in either the open or closed position, as they aren’t easy to close manually.
These spring cassettes were designed to be used with sprung multipoint lock. They are not compatible with unsprung handles, and you will have to cut a hole in your backplate for them to fit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
